Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
This recent return visit was my first time back during the months of autumn since 2014. That year, I had just retired and was still feeling my way around a camera. Now, much more accomplished, I wanted to go back and see what I could capture with more skills in my possession.
I purchased my ticket to reserve a 3:00pm time slot, where I figured the crowds would be more sparse, and more importantly, I would be photographing in the beautiful light of the golden hour soon thereafter.
It was an unusually warm and magnificent November afternoon, and the wispy clouds served as a filter making the landscape glow in iridescent brilliance.
It was quite a pleasure photographing the various sculptures that were found on the grounds of the Storm King Art Center.
